Dr. Shaya completed his dental training at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR; graduating with Great Honor and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honors society. He then moved to Seattle to complete a three-year residency in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of Washington where he earned a Master of Science in Dentistry degree. While living in Seattle and completing his residency, he decided to make Seattle his home especially after falling in love with the beauty of our city and meeting his wife, Jessie!
Dr. Shaya brings a balance of experience and genuine care to provide high-quality, personalized treatment for his patients. He loves working with our dental collaborators in caring for our mutual patients at Periodontics Northwest.
Dr. Shaya is board-certified and has achieved the distinction of becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is an active member of American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), Washington State Dental Association (WSDA), and the Seattle King County Dental Society (SKCDS).
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys playing tennis and golf, as well as exploring the Seattle food scene with his wife.
